Achieving Coarse Wrinkle Texture Finish
Q: I have a Starrett #199 master precision level. It has a fine wrinkle finish I would like to touch up. I found a black spray paint but I was concerned with the texture of the wrinkle. What I am familiar with had a coarser wrinkle. Comment?

A: You named a fairly fast drying formulation. You’ll find that slower drying coatings will usually yield larger wrinkles. Also, spraying more heavily may get you larger wrinkles as well. Rust-Oleum tends to be one of the slower drying ones, and you might want to try their textured finish.
