Removing and Repainting Wood and Iron Railing
Q: We need to remove the paint on a wood and iron railing and repaint. What do you suggest?

A: Standard paint remover will take off the paint on both wood and iron. After that, prime the railing and repaint. One new and interesting option is Rust-Oleum Universal, an aerosol interior and exterior paint that requires no primer and goes on both wood and metal.
