One of our favorite books for wood finishes. Michael Dresdner -- who is also our expert -- has years of experience as a professional wood finisher. His writing style is comfortable and his knowledge of tools and finishing products is extensive.

This comprehensive book carries the reader from selecting a finish to stripping old finishes and applying new finishes as well sections on troubleshooting and safety. Color photographs and black and white illustrations are helpful as well. We also enjoy Michael's "Finishing Tales" about past finishing experiences.

Michael Dresdner really had a great idea when he put this book together. He's listed 175 of the most commonly asked wood finishing questions along with detailed answers often accompanied by a photograph.
